Stephen McNew is the assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction for the Monroe County Intermediate School District. He works closely with educators throughout Monroe County to determine the kinds of educational experiences that students need to achieve their goals and to be prepared for life in the adult world.

As students, we may not know all that awaits us, but we DO know one thing, for sure – our pathway to higher education and fulfilling careers will be directed by our understanding of the world in which we live . . . and we gain access to the lessons that enrich our learning through the use of educational technology . . . every day in every way.  Educational technology makes it all happen.

A solid education is the foundation for all of those hopes and dreams. Kendra Dafoe sees both facets of that foundation. As a high school teacher, she knows the skills that her students need to succeed in life. And as a Mom, she knows the understanding she wants her own children to possess as they move into the world of community service, higher education and fulfilling careers.

Molly Lumpert-Coy, regional manager for DTE Energy, knows that companies throughout the region and the nation look for skill sets that incorporate technology in all kinds of industrial and business settings.

How teachers are able to teach has changed dramatically with the advent of educational technology tools and equipment in classrooms throughout Monroe County. At Monroe High School, Mark Drougel uses many different approaches to share lessons and academic experiences with his students.
